​Nishan International is a nonprofit organization based in Pasadena, California. Our mission is to promote Chinese culture and serve as a cultural bridge between China and the United States. Nishan is not only involved in publishing but also in hosting community-oriented events regarding issues of assimilation, social services, education, as well as hosting fundraisers for causes near to our mission. We cooperate with educational institutions, Chinese consulates and embassies, and various organizations from different industries to ensure that we have an adequate support for our mission and programs.

​尼山国际位于洛杉矶帕萨迪纳市，是一家非营利组织，致力于在美中之间搭建文化交流的桥梁。因为我们深信文化是增进美中之间相互了解、促进世界和平的重要途径。参与的项目包括：翻译、出版、发行中文著作，并推广至高校、图书馆等机构供学生和广大读者阅读和学习；与不同行业与组织深度合作，举办中美之间文化商贸活动；关注并举办和阅读、教育、社会服务等相关的社区活动，促进亚裔/华人社区的和谐和发展。

Leo Chu 朱裕民

Chu was born in Shanghai in 1942 and raised in Hong Kong where Chu is fluent in English as well as in three Chinese dialects. Chu began his career in the family owned textile business in 1964 in Hong Kong.
Chu and his wife, Ivy, immigrated to the US in 1975. Came to Los Angeles and never left. Then started the apparel company, California Ivy, Inc. And sold the company in 1992. Around 1994 Chu started to invest in California casinos and still in that business.
Chu sits on the boards of Special Olympics since 1996, Councilors of Vertibi engineering school of USC, ambassador for keck international medicine of USC, and former adviser to Dr. Steve Gruber for China of Norris cancer hospital, California problem gambling council member since 1996, advisory board of California Gambling control commission, former member, chairman of Morning Light foundation, a non-profit organization which builds over 25 elementary schools in china and sponsoring 400 scholarships in china yearly, in the last 12 years. Cal poly Pomona international education advisory board member, Cal state Dominguez hills business school advisory board president.
朱裕民先生于1942年出生于上海，在香港长大，能说流利的英语和其他三种中国语言。他于1964年在香港开始从事家族纺织业务。
朱先生和他的妻子Ivy于1975年移民到美国，定居洛杉矶从未离开过。之后创建了服装公司California Ivy，Inc。并于1992年出售该公司。大约在1994年，Chu开始投资加利福尼亚赌场并仍然从事这项业务。

John Szabo 约翰萨博

John F. Szabo is the City Librarian of the Los Angeles Public Library. He oversees the Central Library, 72 branches and the Library’s $183 million budget.
Under his leadership, the Library’s major initiatives include those related to immigrant integration and citizenship, improving financial literacy and providing health resources and programs. He has expanded the library’s reach into the city’s diverse communities through partnerships with several community-based organizations.
He has more than 25 years of leadership experience in public libraries. Throughout his career, Szabo has championed innovative library services that address critical community needs in areas including health disparities, workforce development, adult literacy, school readiness and emergent literacy for preschoolers.
洛杉矶市立图书馆馆长，负责中央图书馆以及旗下72个分馆，这个图书馆每年运营成本为1亿8千3百万美金。
在他的领导下，图书馆的项目主要包括和移民融合，提高金融知识，提高健康卫生资源的项目。通过和社区组织的合作，他将图书馆的范围扩大到城市各个社群中。

Evans Lam 林日升

Evans Lam is a Managing Director of Wealth Management and Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS Financial Services Inc. A native from Hong Kong, he received a scholarship that allowed him to attend the University of Rochester where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Finance, Accounting, and Managerial Economics. Recognized the important role the scholarship played in launching this career, Evans Lam now engages in educational philanthropy that benefits financially challenged families. He has endowed Evans Lam Study Board Scholarship at the college of Arts, Science, and Engineering; the Susanna and Evans Lam Professorship at the Simon Business School; and a scholarship at the Eastman School of Music. On a global scale, he supports educational foundations in China and Hong Kong. He now serves as Vice Chairman of the Morning Light Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating students in remote and rural areas of China. He is also a founding director of the Hong Kong School Alumni Federation Scholarship Foundation, which helps exceptional students from Hong Kong attend world-renewed universities in the US.

林日升博士热心公益，积极支持美国本土和海外的教育、文化、慈善活动，为母校Rochester大学的艺术、科学、工程等学科设立奖学金，教授研究基金，并积极参与中国内地及香港的教育慈善事业。他出任晨光基金会副主席，帮助中国农村和边远地区贫困学生有机会接受教育，同时担任南加州香港校友会联会奖学基金会理事及前任主席，协助香港优秀学生来美就读。
林日升博士服务于母校Rochester大学董事局，Simon商学院全国顾问委员会以及 George Eastman Circle 主席支持大学发展基金。2010年，获赠Simon商学院的John Wilder奖项。2012年，在Rochester大学的毕业庆典上获赠David T. Kearns杰出奖项，以表彰他在商业、公共服务和教育的贡献。2017年十月，Rochester大学图书馆的学生公共区域被命名为“'Rochester Lam Square.”，以表彰林家对于大学图书馆现代化做出的慷慨支持。

Chen Su 陈肃

Su Chen’s career as a Librarian started at McGill University Library in February 1999. After serving as Head of the East Asian Library at the University of Minnesota for ten years, she became Head of the East Asian Library(Richard C. Rudolph) at UCLA in August 2011. Her research interests are primarily in history and trend of English monograph publications on East Asian studies; archival resources on China in North America; and history of East Asian libraries in North America. Su Chen’s recent publications include Glossary of Library and Information Sciences: English/Chinese Chinese/English(K.G.Saur, 2005), The Archives of the Young Men’s Christian Association in China at the University of Minnesota Libraries: the Annual Report(1896-1949) with Biographical Sketch of Foreign Secretaries and City Association Building Description(Guangxi Normal University Press, 2012), Archival Resources of American Historical and Archival Resources on China’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression(Fudan University Press, 2017)
美国加州大学洛杉矶分校东亚图书馆馆长。毕业于华中科技大学及加拿大麦吉尔大学。曾任华中科技大学哲学系助教、讲师、麦吉尔大学东亚研究图书馆员、美国明尼苏达大学东亚图书馆馆长。学术出版物包括《图书馆实用词条：英汉/汉英》（合编，德国慕尼黑：K.G. Saur, 2006）、《美国明尼苏达大学图书馆藏基督教男青年会档案：中国年度报告：1896-1949及国际干事小传及会所小史》（20卷，合编，广西师大出版社，2012）、《北美民国研究档案资源指要》（合著，美国哥伦比亚大学出版社，2016）《北美藏中国抗日战争市立档案文献提要》（合著，复旦大学出版社，2017）及其他学术论文多篇。

Yan Yunxiang 阎云翔

Yan earned his B.A. in Chinese Literature in 1982 and M.A. in Folklore Studies in 1984 from Peking University and Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from Harvard University in 1993.  Having taught at Peking University, Chinese University of Hong Kong and Johns Hopkins University, he is currently a professor of anthropology and director of the Center for Chinese Studies at University of California, Los Angeles, and adjunct professor at School of Public Policy and Social Development, Fudan University, China.  He is the author of The Flow of Gifts: Reciprocity and Social Networks in a Chinese Village (Stanford University Press, 1996), Private Life under Socialism: Love, Intimacy, and Family Change in a Chinese Village, 1949-1999 (Stanford University Press, 2003), and The Individualization of Chinese Society (Berg publishers, 2009).  His research interests include family and kinship, social change, the individual and individualization, and moral changes in post-Mao China.
美国加州大学洛杉矶分校中国研究中心主任。1978年考取北京大学中文系文学专业，1982 年获文学学士学位，1984获民间文学民俗学硕士学位，毕业后任教于北京大学中文系；1986年赴美国留学并于1993获哈佛大学人类学博士学位；曾任教于香港中文大学人类学系，美国约翰霍普金斯大学人类学系，现为美国加州大学洛杉矶校区 (UCLA) 人类学系教授及中国研究中心主任，兼任复旦大学公共政策与社会发展学院特聘教授。

Ulan（Kang Hong）- CEO
乌兰-首席执行官

Ulan is the Chief Executive Officer of Nishan International. She also works as a hostess in KAZN AM1300 radio and in various events around LA and as a national advisory board member for International Leadership Foundation(ILF). She is an acclaimed writer and has published many education and art-related titles including Crowned by Love(2015), Rebecca Shao's Arts World(2013) and Tango of the Golden-agers(2009). She is a famous influencer called Wodun Mama on social media.
尼山国际首席执行官。洛杉矶KAZN AM1300电台著名节目主持人、各类大型庆典活动和晚会司仪、美国国际领袖基金会（ILF）洛杉矶分会顾问团顾问、旅美华裔作家。出版的作品包括：为爱加冕（2015年）Rebecca Shao's Arts World（2013年）黄昏探戈（2009年），知名博主沃顿妈妈。 

Simon W. Shao - CFO

Simon Shao has been engaged in Sino-US business for over 20 years. His ventures are spanning across agriculture, international trade, manufacturing and real estate sectors. He now serves as Executive Director of Chinese American Federation and Director of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas. Mr. Shao is also co-founder and Chairman of Chinese American Educational Foundation.
耕耘中美商业超过20年，旗下公司包括美西最大玩具进口商之一的普利国际, 从美国向中国出口苜蓿草先行者及规模化农场运营的绿田园国际, 以及专注美国和泛太平洋地区地产酒庄开发的地意地产等。多年投身慈善与文化教育推广，现任美国华人联合总会会长、美国华人教育基金会主席以及全国侨联第九届委员会海外委员。

Liu, Bing - Senior Director
​刘冰-高级主管

Bing Liu is Senior Advisor at Nishan International. He has spent over 60 years in publishing and is one of the most influential persons in Sino-US cultural exchange. Mr. Liu is founder of Evergreen Publishing and Stationery, President of Chinese Publishing Association USA and Advisor of Fudan University Chinese Ancient Books Preservation and Conservation Institute.
美国长青文化公司创办人、美国华文出版协会会长，服务华文事业六十余年、曾任世界书局编辑等职、现任复旦大学中华古籍保护研究院顾问。

Joe Kan - IT Manager
阚久强 - 技术部经理

Joe Kan is IT Manager at Nishan International. He has extensive experience in business operations and commercial technical infrastructure management both in China and the U.S. He previously served in Shandong Xianghe Dairy. Mr. Kan is graduated from University of Manchester with a master degree in Computer Science.
尼山国际信息技术部经理，拥有中美两国多年商业运营和信息技术管理的经验。曾就职于山东祥和乳业有限责任公司、祥和庄园生态园。于曼彻斯特大学获得信息技术硕士学位。

Danica Meng - Finance Manager
孟晓丹-财务经理

Danica Meng is the Director of Finance of Nishan International. She is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, income and expense management, etc. She also serves as Director of Finance of Green Pasture International, Inc. with five years’ experience in financial management. Ms.Meng received Master of Science in Finance degree from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
尼山国际财务经理，负责编制财务报告，管理财务预算、运营收支等各项财务事宜。具有多年企业财务管理经验，现兼任绿田园国际财务总监。于约翰霍普金斯大学商学院获得财务学硕士学位。

Liming(Lia) Wang- Operation Manager
王黎明 -运营经理

 Liming Wang is the Operation Manager of Nishan International. Responsible for company's operation and strategic management. She's experienced in Event planning and organizing. Graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Trulaske College of Business, majoring in management and finance, with a degree in Hospitality Management. 
尼山国际运营经理，主管公司运营和企业战略管理，拥有丰富的市场策划与实操经验。毕业于密苏里-哥伦比亚分校商学院，商业管理学士学位，并辅修酒店管理学。

Weijun(Will) Zhou- Marketing Specialist
周伟俊—市场营销

Weijun Zhou is the marketing specialist of Nishan International. He is responsible for the promotion and marketing planning of the company's products and services, and responsible for the operation, shooting and editing of social media. Weijun holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and social work  from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, and an MBA degree from Andrews University in Michigan.
尼山国际市场营销专员，负责公司产品和服务的宣传和营销策划，负责社交媒体的运营、拍摄，编辑和制作。本科毕业于广东药科大学市场营销和社会工作的双学位，并在密歇根州的 Andrews University获得工商管理硕士学位。
